Gong to be on a show here in Nashville, called Bless Your Heart. They are featuring a couple pieces of my art and wanted a logo to project on the back wall. So, I came up with this the other day. I quiet satisfied with it. :-)
This copper mural is rather large @ 34” x 46”. My inspiration for this piece was based on the fact that I am obsessed with sunsets. lol. But I see the sun rising in this piece as Spring is unfolding and the grass is beginning to green once again. It’s always with much gratitude when I see the green grass coming back alive and the amazing sunrise colors.
This piece goes with most any wall color and is extremely organic looking. Its Wabi Sabi style is very appealing to me. An embracing of it’s imperfection and how that is its beauty. This piece along with some others are on the way to The Western Design Show in Jackson Hole, WY.
Commissions welcome!!
Just finished this piece yesterday. It’s a 2 panel mural that is going to be heading out with some other pieces for The Western Design Conference (WDC) in Jackson Hole, WY. The greens are crystalized and just stunning. Of course, its not surprising that it has a waterfall look as I am so drawn to waterfalls.
Copper has such an uncanny ability to replicate these beautiful waterfall looks. Or it may be that subconsciously, I create them. :-)
This is one of the smaller copper patina murals that I create. Some people do not have the space for a larger mural and not everyone has the budget. These copper art pieces are 12” x 24”. They can be hung vertical or horizontal. They can also be wall art or placed on a small table top easel. Giving someone a few options for placement, depending on their decor and available art space.
The colors that emerged on this copper patina mural were most likely a direct result from the 100 degree heat and high humidity. The only thing that I have appreciated about this heat wave. lol
I do a lot of nature walks and hikes and when I saw what was unfolding in this piece, it immediately made me feel like I was in nature on an amazing fall day. Colors glistening all around. You know those days! It literally make you feel like you are in an enchanted land. Very soul healing!

This copper patina mural was created primarily using ammonia baths. There were several phases it went through in order to achieve this final look. In my own life at this time, I am struggling with some different paths that are seemingly on the horizon for me. I want the Path to unfold organically and spiritually and some days it can be a challenge to allow that to happen. Sometimes when I don't feel like I have the answer right in front of me, I want to force an answer.
This piece immediately spoke to me, letting me know the Path will unfold as it's suppose to. It will flow organically and despite me wanting to have an answer right now, I need to be at peace knowing the Path will unveil itself, when I'm ready.
The inspiration from this copper mural came to me from hiking to some waterfalls in western North Carolina recently. Once the blues emerged, they felt like waterfalls and waves to me. I worked with the middle piece that developed into a water scene within itself. All sections ended up with their own individual water scenes.
I love copper patina because it feels like WabiSabi Interior Styling. The imperfections create a perfect piece in the end. There is nothing absolutely perfect about it and that’s what makes it perfect.
What do you think about this 3 panel copper art mural? I decided to invert the middle panel for no other reason than I liked it that way. :-) I love the organic nature of copper and the patina colors are unbelievable. I have worked with copper for maybe 10 years now and am never disappointed at the colors that are a result of my patina process.
