"Water Totem"- Copper Patina Art Mural

The inspiration from this copper mural came to me from hiking to some waterfalls in western North Carolina recently. Once the blues emerged, they felt like waterfalls and waves to me. I worked with the middle piece that developed into a water scene within itself. All sections ended up with their own individual water scenes.

I love copper patina because it feels like WabiSabi Interior Styling. The imperfections create a perfect piece in the end. There is nothing absolutely perfect about it and that’s what makes it perfect.

What do you think about this 3 panel copper art mural? I decided to invert the middle panel for no other reason than I liked it that way. :-) I love the organic nature of copper and the patina colors are unbelievable. I have worked with copper for maybe 10 years now and am never disappointed at the colors that are a result of my patina process.

Copper over your Kitchen Stove

Was asked by an Interior Design firm in Edmonton Alberta, CANADA to create a piece for a client of theirs. It will go over the microwave and in between 2 beautiful cabinets. I can’t wait to see the final piece, once installed.

Copper Patina art can make stunning accent pieces in your home or business. Especialy accent pieces in your kitchen. Its extremely beautiful as a kitchen backsplash.

This piece recently sold at The Silver Fox in Hendersonville, NC. I absolutely love the colors and movement in this piece. It felt like the colors in a sunset, that we are gifted with some evenings that happen during a 10 minute period. The colors can shift so quickly within 10 minutes, it’s almost impossible to know what you witnessed, unless you took photos.

Anyway, this piece for me was a compilation of those magnificent colors within those 10 minutes.

Copper Patina Wall Art

This is a process that I don’t use a lot. However, I had a client that wanted this look for her interior home space. I did this piece primarily with a torch. In order to achieve the movement she wanted in the copper, along with the colors, I knew I could achieve the look better with a torch as opposed to the chemical baths.

I do love the abstract celestial look and feel of this piece.

Copper Art inspired by Sunsets

If you look at any of my copper art, its easy to see where my inspiration comes from. SUNSETS!! I am a sunset nerd which eventually led me to creating copper patinas. I don’t post my sunsets pics on my blog but if you can find them on my social media posts.

Sunsets and Copper are just synonymous with each other.

Copper Art Designs

Recently I started working with leaves, flowers, etc on my copper pieces. I love the designs that I get from nature. It seems to compliment the copper very well and seems like a very natural look for the copper.
