Copper Pole Planter Boxes

What new and exciting idea we had for a recent client! The client wanted to add some planter boxes and colors to their pool area but walkable space was limited. So we decided to create some planter boxes around the existing pergola poles It kept the walkable space about the same and added some much needed color to the outdoor living area. Thes epics were pre-flowers so you will have to trust me that the planters look stunning with the plants added t them. :-)The copper patina that I created for the boxes really added some brightness to the outdoor space and gave it an new upgraded look and feel.

Create & Feel Art Contest

Nashville Creative recently asked for submissions for entry to a Create & Feel Art Contest. I entered one of my copper patina art murals and was extremely excited to place in the top 4 as a Runner-up. I could’t have been more excited to actually win. lol. It was a honor to be chosen in the top 4 given the amazing artists in this town.

Creating copper patina ia a process that I have taught myself and given the process I use, it’s definitely a symbiotic relationship with the copper. I can guide the copper to create what I have in mind but I also have to be willing to feel what the copper is wanting to say. So I feel like we are guiding each other and the process will unfold in it’s own time. I can’t will the copper to move any faster than its going to. And it’s a process that I totally respect. I love the relationship that I have with copper and that no 2 pieces are identical. It’s a very natural and organic process that I love being a part of. I love being able to give a visual image to copper whether it’s art, bar tops/bases, tables, planters, etc.

Custom Copper Patina Deck Poles

A client asked me to create some copper patina panels for her wooden deck poles. And wow…..they turned out absolutely stunning! The wood and the copper complimented each other so beautifully with both elements being natural and organic.

Copper has some many decorative organic uses indoors and outdoors, as accent art and accents to existing pieces, such as these deck poles. We use copper to create wall art, backsplashes, additions to table tops, wave art, etc. Almost all of our art is on a custom basis. Clients come to me to make their copper ideas come to life. We work with the client to determine the vision of what the client is wanting and execute the copper art designs from there.

All of the copper that I work with is copper that I have aged through a process that I developed specifically for my art. Can’t wait to see what creative copper project we get to work on next. Grateful for all of the wonderful and creative clients that choose to use us for copper ideas.

Copper is able to blend in many environments, such as mountain homes, log homes, urban lofts, large sprawling ranches and smaller ranches. Truly, the possibilities are limitless and copper is the new black. :-)

Kitchen Backsplash

This copper patina mountain scene was a custom order from a client that is moving to Asheville, NC. They have built a beautiful custom kitchen and wanted a copper mountain scene to be inset into their kitchen backsplash. They wanted a copper statement piece to reflect their love of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

I layered this piece and individually cut out all pieces after the aging was complete. Once all pieces were carefully composed, I completed it with 2 epoxy pours to cover and seal the copper art. This piece will make a stunning accent piece to their already gorgeous kitchen with views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Copper Patina is a natural element that allows me to create an indoor art piece with outdoor, organic elements. A beautiful way to bring the outdoors into your indoor living spaces.

Hammered Copper Patina Accents for your Kitchen

A client recently asked me to create a patina on some hammered copper panels for her kitchen. She wanted to install them on the base of her kitchen island. It was my 1st time working with hammered copper and I love the look that I was able to achieve on the patina. She asked me to keep the patina subtle which was a little challenging for me. lol. I tend to reach for the bolder, richer colors but I was able to stay subtle and created a look that pulled all of her kitchen colors together. The subtle patina was perfect!

It won’t be my last time working with a patina on hammered copper. I can see me using this copper for all kinds of kitchen applications, ie the kitchen island panels, panels for kitchen cabinets, backsplashes and island tops with an epoxy pour over it. I can’t wait to work on some new pieces!
