"Walk for Peace"- Copper Abstract Art

This copper patina mural was totally inspired by the Buddhist Monks recent 2300 mile “Walk for Peace” pilgrimage, 2025/2026. I was so touched by the number of people that were moved by their walk, Aloka, the most buddhist dog in the world, and the compassion in their hearts. I loved every little, and big, thing about their pilgrimage.

While the type of art I create with copper patinas, doesn’t provide a way for me to create people, per se, the colors I was able to achieve, are the exact colors in their robes. I “may” add some fabric to this piece to try and create the monks profiles, an abstract version, or something. I guess I haven’t completely decided yet, which makes this piece still, a WIP. :)
