Sunsets & Copper

Almost everyday I can be found somewhere, hunting down a sunset. There is something so spiritual with what happens to the sky as the sun is going down. It reminds me of my copper patina pieces. When I patina the copper, I let the copper patina unfold based on what the piece seems to be feeling. It’s like it has it’s own story to tell, just like a sunset. Whatever emerges, is a unique spiritually created piece of art. Regardless of where and how the piece is displayed ie, copper bar top, copper wall art, copper planter boxes/vases, copper commission pieces, etc- each piece is as unique and spiritually created as each sunset. The colors are so similar in the copper and the sunsets, I suppose it’s not surprise that I am passionate about both.
